Sidequest Instructions for MothFlame Removal

Sidequest Instructions for MothFlame Removal

If you have installed a VR app on a headset offline using Data Transfer Tool (DTT), the modules installed via DTT will always be the ones the VR app has access to when launched on the headset, even if you turn on Wi-Fi and attempt to download modules from the Internet.

For headsets with the app previously installed via DTT, if you want to be able to download/install the VR app and download modules via Wi-Fi (based on which modules are available to the headset based on settings in Device Management in the Portal), then you have to follow these steps:

  1. Connect headset to computer via USB-C cable

  2. Open the Sidequest desktop application

  • Link for installation instructions

  1. Click on the 9 dots in the upper right

  1. Scroll down until you find com.MothAndFlame.MFConversation, and click on the Gear icon

  1. In order of the numbers annotated below: click on Force Close App → Clear App Data → Uninstall App

  1. Restart the headset and put it on wifi.  ArborXR will then automatically download the Moth+Flame app to your headset. When you launch the app, modules will be fetched and downloaded from the Portal.
