Custom Framework from Doctrine is a guided, five-step wizard that builds a brand-new assessment framework — the set of capabilities and performance levels you measure learners against — directly from your organization's own doctrine. Instead of picking a generic set of leadership or technical competencies, you point the wizard at a document you've already uploaded, and it proposes a bespoke framework grounded in what that document actually says.
The result is a net-new, named framework you can assign to courses going forward. Existing courses keep whatever framework they're already using — nothing is changed underneath them.
Every organization measures performance a little differently. A generic assessment framework built for "leadership" in the abstract will always miss the specifics that matter to your team — the exact standards in your SOPs, the language your own doctrine uses, the priorities your organization has already written down.
Custom Framework from Doctrine closes that gap. Rather than asking you to author a framework from scratch — a slow, error-prone exercise — it reads the doctrine you already trust and drafts measurable dimensions from it, each with low/mid/high performance descriptors. You review, edit, and keep only what's right, then save it as a framework you can assign to courses. The organization ends up measuring people against its own standard, not someone else's template.
Open Settings → Org Admin → Frameworks, then click + Create framework. The wizard walks through five steps: Basics → Doctrine → Generate → Review → Save.
Give the framework a name and, optionally, a one-line subtitle describing what it measures. Pick the course type (Strategic or Technical) it applies to — this determines which model generates the framework and which courses it can later be assigned to. The Next button stays disabled until a framework name is entered.
Pick the source document to build from. The wizard lists your organization's uploaded doctrine; only documents with an extracted AI summary can be selected, so you always know which sources are ready to build from before you commit. Select one (or more) and continue.
Click Suggest via AI (or let generation start automatically) and the model reads the selected doctrine and proposes a full set of dimensions — each with a short code, a name, a category, a description, and low/mid/high performance anchors describing what that dimension looks like at each level. This typically takes well under a minute for a single source document.
Every proposed dimension is fully editable. Adjust names, descriptions, or performance anchors, remove anything that doesn't fit, or add a dimension by hand with + Add dimension. This is a draft to shape, not a fixed output — the AI proposes, you decide what ships.
A final summary shows the framework name, course type, scoring model, dimension count, and doctrine source count, plus a chip for every dimension you're keeping. Click Create framework to save it. The framework is now available to assign to courses going forward — existing courses are untouched.
Once created, the framework is live in Intelligence → Assessment Frameworks, and every dashboard scores against these capabilities — the ones drawn from your doctrine — instead of a set of defaults. From here you set the emphasis: slide a capability up to tell the whole curriculum it matters more, and the scoring weights adjust across every course that uses this framework.
Custom Framework from Doctrine turns a document you already trust into a measurable assessment framework in minutes — five steps from a blank name field to a complete, AI-drafted, human-reviewed set of dimensions you can assign to your courses. You end up measuring people against your own model, not a generic one.
