Training Library

Every training asset your organization can use, in one place — what your team built, and proven off-the-shelf frameworks, side by side.

What it is

The Training Library is the browse-and-adopt surface for everything your organization can train against: your own course, plus a catalog of off-the-shelf assessment frameworks CommandIQ ships out of the box. It answers one question — “what training assets are available to us?” — without hunting across separate screens for your content versus the platform's.

Find it at Org Admin → Training Library.

Why it works this way

  • One catalog, two sources. Your org's own courses and CommandIQ's off-the-shelf frameworks render as the same kind of card, side by side, so you're comparing apples to apples instead of jumping between “our stuff” and “vendor stuff.”
  • Every asset documents itself, no black box. Each off-the-shelf card shows its objective, type, and tags up front — so you know exactly what you're adopting and why it fits before you bring it in.
  • Curate, don't hunt. Filter by source or type to narrow the catalog to what's relevant, then adopt directly from the card. No separate request, no waiting on an admin elsewhere.

The catalog at a glance

The library spans every kind of training asset your teams actually use — each card is tagged with its type so you can tell at a glance what you're looking at:

TypeWhat it is
Text / Voice / Video / CoachConversation-based practice modules the learner runs live.
IMIInteractive multimedia microlearning — short, tap-through drills.
SCORMSelf-paced courseware packages that play inline.
VRImmersive scenarios run on a headset.
OJTOn-the-job steps an instructor observes and scores in person.
Resolve / ARGuided tablet and augmented-reality tasks on live equipment.
ExternalThird-party articles, podcasts, and videos linked in one place.
Course / FrameworkA full course your org built, or a ready-made assessment framework.

Sources sit side by side: Off-the-shelf content CommandIQ maintains, and My org content your team has authored.

How to browse

Step 1 — Open the Training Library tab

Go to Org Admin and choose the Training Library tab. You'll see the full catalog as a grid of cards — your org's own content alongside every off-the-shelf asset CommandIQ offers, across every content type.

Step 2 — Filter by source

Use the Source filter in the left rail to narrow the view:

  • All sources — everything, your content and off-the-shelf together.
  • Off-the-shelf — just the frameworks CommandIQ maintains.
  • My org — just what your organization has authored.

The Source filter narrows the catalog to off-the-shelf content, your org's own, or both

Step 3 — Filter by type

The Type filter narrows further by asset kind — Text, Voice, Video Call, Coach, Video, Note, IMI, Resolve, AR, VR, OJT, ILT, External, Course, or Framework. Combine it with the source filter to get specific, for example Off-the-shelf + Framework to see only ready-made assessment models.

The Type filter narrowing the catalog to VR scenarios

Step 4 — Search by title

Type into Search titles… to jump straight to an asset by name — handy once your library has more than a screenful of cards.

Searching 'Leadership' narrows the grid to matching cards

How to adopt off-the-shelf content

Every off-the-shelf card documents itself right up front — objective, type, and tags — so you can evaluate it at a glance before you bring it in. Take a ready-to-use Coaching & Feedback Conversations SCORM course:

A ready-to-use off-the-shelf card with Add to course and Add to org actions

From the card you have two actions:

  • Add to course — attaches the framework's template to the course you currently have selected. Requires a course to be in focus; the button is disabled otherwise.
  • Add to org — adopts the off-the-shelf framework into your organization's own library so it's available for any course going forward.

Both actions start right from the card — no separate request flow, no waiting on someone else to provision it for you.

Frequently asked

Does adopting an off-the-shelf framework copy or modify the original?
No. Adoption links the off-the-shelf source into your organization; it doesn't fork or rewrite the underlying framework.

Can I filter by more than one type at once?
The Type filter is one selection at a time, combined with the Source filter. Use Search alongside it to narrow further by name.

Where does the off-the-shelf content come from?
It's a curated library CommandIQ maintains — practice modules, interactive and SCORM courseware, VR and on-the-job exemplars, external resources, and assessment frameworks. Each card documents what it is on its face — objective, type, and tags — so you always know what you're adopting.

Do I need a course selected to browse the library?
No — browsing and filtering work regardless. A course only needs to be selected when you use Add to course on a specific card.
